The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps, which goes by the code name So-Safe Corps, has caught Ridwan, who is accused of killing his father in Ogun for ritual reasons.

This was said in a release from the Office of the State Commander of the Corps, Soji Ganzallo, through the Office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf.

The statement says, “Around noon on Thursday, August 31, 2023, while on routine patrol in Oshoku Village in Ijebu North Local Government Area, officers of the Corps heard a strange sound coming from a house.

“When the police went into the building to find out what was going on, they were shocked to find a dead man lying in a pool of his own blood. The alleged killer had already left the scene.”

The statement also said that Ganzallo told the Zonal Commander of the Ijebu Zonal Command, Ogun State, ACC Marcus Ayankoya, to get the accused killer, Ridwan, arrested within 24 hours.

The person who was thought to have killed someone was caught hiding in a bush.

He said that he killed his father, Ishau, with a rope around his neck and a knife to cut off the parts of his body that were needed for a ceremony.

Ganzallo said that the accused killer told the Corps officers that he only took his father’s private parts, larynx, and four teeth because a ritualist named Baba Kekere told him to do so.

Ganzallo also said that when he was asked where the ritualist was, he wouldn’t say where he was.

Ganzallo said that the accused killer had been sent to the Nigeria Police Force’s Ogbere Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and possible prosecution.
