Governor Alex Otti of Abia State recently announced a plan to provide independent power supply to certain areas of the state. This will be achieved through a new agreement with Geometric Power Limited’s power plant.
The announcement was made during a courtesy visit by the chairman of Geometric Power Limited, Prof Bartholomew Nnaji, who is also a former minister of power, and his team.
The governor expressed his excitement that Aba, a hugely commercial part of the state, will soon have a reliable power supply. This is a major step towards improving the infrastructure and economy of the state. The new agreement is expected to bring about significant changes in the power sector and provide a much-needed boost to businesses and industries in the region.
The people of Abia have long been plagued by power outages and unreliable electricity supply. This new development is expected to bring about a positive change in their lives. The governor has assured that the government is committed to providing reliable power supply to its citizens and this new agreement is a step in that direction.
