Carlee Russell, a 25-year-old Alabama woman, has been found alive after disappearing while calling 911 to report a toddler walking on the side of the interstate.
Police found her vehicle and some of her possessions at the scene, but neither she nor any child was found.
Russell was taken to UAB Hospital for treatment after being found. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance and the whereabouts of the child she reported seeing are still under investigation.
The community is relieved that Russell has been found alive and is hoping for a swift resolution to the case. The investigation is ongoing and more information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
