Alex Otti Condemns Murder of LP Chieftain, Orders Probe

Alex Otti, the governor of Abia State, has strongly condemned the killing of Mr. Maduka Zakari, a leader of the Labour Party, in Uturu, Isuikwuato LGA of the state, by people who have not yet been named.

In a statement made public on Friday by the Governor’s Special Adviser for Media and Publicity, Mr. Ferdinand Ekeoma, Otti claimed that Zakari’s brutal murder by his assailants, who chopped him, was insane, cruel, and evil.

So, he asked security officers from different agencies to move quickly and make sure that whoever was directly or indirectly involved in the killing was brought to justice and made to pay a lot for what they did.

The governor was sad to hear about the death of the late Zakari, who stood out during the last general election as the campaign manager for the Labour Party in Uturu. Zakari was said to have worked hard as a community leader to stop kidnappings, but his life was cut short just as he was about to benefit from the LP government’s efforts to improve governance.

He promised that the government would stand by his family and give them all the help they needed as they dealt with this sad loss.

The head of state said he was still committed to protecting life and property in Abia State and the South East as a whole. This is why he recently launched a joint security taskforce called “Operation Crush,” which has led to a big drop in crime in the state, especially kidnappings in the Lokpanta area. He also promised that security agents would keep up a strong attack on criminals.
