Alex Otti’s Reign in Abia Kickstart in Grand Style

Today marked a historic moment as the Labour Party achieved a significant milestone in Abia State with the inauguration of Alex Otti as the state’s first-ever Labour Party governor, accompanied by Ikechukwu Emetu as the Deputy Governor.

The event garnered an immense crowd of supporters, friends, and party officials, including distinguished leaders from various factions of the party.

Leading a robust delegation of party executives, Bar. Julius Abure, the National Chairman of the Labour Party, spearheaded the gathering. Notable attendees included Dudu Manuga, the National Women Leader; Oluchi Opara, the National Treasurer; Prince Kennedy Ahanotu, the Acting National Youth Leader; Obiora Ifoh, the National Publicity Secretary; and several other esteemed members of the National Executive Committee. Among the numerous esteemed guests, the former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, and his wife were also in attendance.

Precisely at 12:20 pm, Governor Alex Otti took the oath of office, administered by the acting Chief Judge of the state, Justice Lilian Agbai. In his solemn pledge, he vowed to uphold the constitution and ensure fairness and justice for all Abians. Furthermore, he committed himself to working diligently for the welfare and progress of every citizen in the state.
