The Norwegian striker Alexander Sorloth has joined Villarreal from Real Sociedad after spending two years at the Spanish club.
The 27yr old striker will move to Real Sociedad’s rival Villarreal after the latter sold their striker Nicolas Jackson to Chelsea. The player had a year spell at Leipzig in 2020 before leaving on loan to Real Sociedad in 2021. He scored just 5 goals for Leipzig in 30 appearances. The striker scored 16 Goals for Real Sociedad in 68 appearances and will now move to Villarreal this summer.
Villarreal paid the sum of €10m for the Player’s services including add ons. He is expected to fill in for Nicolas Jackson and provide more attacking contributions to his new side.
Sorloth won the top scorer in the Turkish Cup in the 2019/20 season and was also the Striker of that same year. He was named La Liga Player of the Month last January. The forward look forward to playing with Villarreal after they qualify for the next Europa League tournament.
