Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said yesterday that he dropped the case against Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois County, USA, because he had started a new case against the president.
Phrank Shaibu, who is Atiku’s special assistant on public communications, said this in a statement. He said that the former vice president has filed a separate case against Tinubu in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. This is why the former vice president decided to drop a case that was already in a circuit court in Illinois.
In a state statement, Shaibu said, “Waziri Atiku Abubakar only withdrew the case before a Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois County, United States of America because he is pursuing the same matter in a higher court and didn’t want to abuse court processes.” So, this is only the start.”
Atiku’s assistant thought it was funny that Tinubu and his fans were celebrating the news as if it were a Supreme Court ruling.
He said that Tinubu’s grades from elementary school through college were still unclear, which is why the president couldn’t name a single former classmate.
Shaibu said, “Over the last week, Nigerians have been watching the ongoing ministerial screening at the Senate, where nominees have been forced to talk about their history in elementary school, high school, and college.” Some of the people nominated to be ministers went to school with the senators who were screening them.
“However, the man who put them forward has never been to school. He didn’t have any peers in elementary school, high school, or college. Because he doesn’t have any peers. He really did fall from the sky.
“Presidents have brought their old classmates to Aso Rock Villa in recent years. Even President Muhammadu Buhari had his middle school friends over. Who did Bola Tinubu host at the Presidential Villa? Set of governors from 1999. This is a man about whom nothing is known about his life, past, or credentials, and Atiku will make sure that he is found out.
“People expect Tinubu to be honest, especially about his past.
“Unfortunately, we have a ruler whose past is kept secret and whose life began in 1993. Even the year 1993, which is the beginning of what we know about our president, is known for a well-documented accusation of drug dealing.
“Now, in 2023, Atiku wants to look into our president’s shady past, but the same man is blocking the truth about his past. The fact that Tinubu is making it hard for good people to find out about his past shows that he has something to hide.
“It is shameful that people who back the President are happy that he is hiding his own past.
“But, as the saying goes, lies can last a lifetime, but the truth will catch up to them in a flash. Now is the time for the truth to come out, and Tinubu has nowhere to hide.
