Barcelona will be allowed to participate in the Champions League this year after UEFA formally announced that they would be allowed in the competition. However, they might not be completely safe either.
Due to their involvement in the Caso Negreira, the Blaugrana were the subject of a UEFA investigation; however, the probe has been placed on hold.
The topic is also the subject of an ongoing legal inquiry in Spain. The Blaugrana’s acceptance by UEFA is subject to three requirements, with the inspectors having asked for the probe to be put on hold:
