Busted: Ajuri Lies As UAE’s Statement On Meeting With Tinubu Silent On Visa Ban Lift

In its statement about Monday’s meeting between President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) did not say anything about ending the ban on Nigerian travelers getting visas.

Tinubu Spokesman Ajuri Ngelale said in a statement on Monday that the meeting with UAE government officials went well.

Ngelale said that at the meeting, disagreements about the visa ban that was put on Nigerian travelers 10 months ago and the suspension of Etihad and Emirates flights were fixed.

“Bola Tinubu and President of the United Arab Emirates Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reached a historic deal on Monday in Abu Dhabi. As a result, Nigerian travelers no longer need visas to enter the UAE.”

“Also, this historic deal says that Etihad Airlines and Emirates Airlines will start flying into and out of Nigeria right away, without any more delays,” Ngelale said.

But the UAE’s official news agency, Emirates News Agency, said that during the meeting, which took place at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, Nahyan congratulated Tinubu again and wished him luck in leading Nigeria and its people to even more progress and prosperity.
