CAN Condoles With Emir Of Zazzau, JNI Over Zaria Mosque Incidence

The Kaduna State branch of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) sent condolences to Jama’atul Nasril Islam, the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Nuhu Bamali, and the rest of the Muslim community after the Zaria Central Mosque fell down on Friday.

In a message of condolence to JNI on Monday, Rev. John Hayab, head of CAN in Kaduna State, called the collapse of the old and historic mosque a sad event.

Hayab said that everyone is sad, not just people in the Muslim community.

“Every good person in Kaduna State is hurting since the horrible thing that happened. As a family, we want the relatives, friends, and families of the dead to have hope, and we pray and hope that God will give JNI and others the strength to deal with the loss that can’t be fixed.

“Greetings from a brother. We were sad to hear that the old and famous mosque in Kofar Fada, Zaria, suddenly fell down on Friday, August 11, 2023, during la’asar prayers.

“The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Kaduna State writes on behalf of the Christian community in the state to express sympathy to His Royal Highness, The Emir of Zazzau, and the whole Muslim ummah in the state over this sad event.

“We hope that God will give Jama’atul Nasril Islam, give us all the strength to deal with this loss that can’t be fixed, and heal everyone who was hurt.

“May God’s infinite mercy give us the peace and growth we want in our state and country. Repeatly, please accept our deepest sympathy,” he said.
