Chelsea Officially Announces Cole Palmer

After completing all necessary procedures, Chelsea football club has officially announced the signing of Cole Palmer from Manchester City on a £45m deal. The Club announced this via the Club’s official Page.

Speaking after completing his move to the Bridge, Cole Palmer addresses the media: “ I’ve joined Chelsea because the project here sounds good and because of the platform I will have to try to showcase my talents. It is a young and hungry squad and, hopefully, we can do something special here.”

He also explained how his relationship with some of Chelsea’s players influenced his decision to move to Bridge. He says “ Raz has always looked after me, so I appreciate him. He was one when I was coming through at Man City who put his arm around me. That was amazing for me, for someone of his pedigree and international experience to do that. He saw the potential I had. He saw what I was doing in training. We started talking a bit more. I was asking him questions all the time and from there, we have always kept in contact. I’ve played with him in games a few times, not loads, and now I’ve developed my game a bit more, hopefully, we can do some good stuff together. I’ve known Noni( Madueke) since I was 15. From our first camp together we always got along, and we’ve just carried on getting along from then on. Levi I’ve known from the national team, I knew him a bit before that and played against him, we get on great.”

“And don’t forget Romeo! He is my guy. We had a couple of great years together at City. It’s nice to be joining a new club knowing I’ve got four really good mates already here, ready to help me settle in and adapt. Knowing them helped me decide to come. Hopefully, I settle in quickly, and help the team win games and win as many trophies as possible.”

Chelsea’s Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley share their belief in Cole Palmer. “Cole arrives with experience of winning the Premier League and Champions League and adds further quality and versatility to our attacking unit. He has showcased his talent and potential in the most challenging environments and delivered on the international stage for England this summer at the European Under-21 Championships. He is undoubtedly ready for this next step and we are delighted it will be with Chelsea.”
