The Federal High Court in Kano has issued a restraining order against the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC), prohibiting them from inviting or harassing the former governor of the state, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. In response to an ex-parte motion that the former governor submitted, Justice A.M. Liman issued the order on Friday.

With regard to the alleged dollar bribery videos, Ganduje filed a motion to stop the PCACC from taking any action against him. The former governor has been embroiled in controversy after videos surfaced online showing him allegedly receiving bribes in US dollars.

With the court’s decision, the PCACC is now legally barred from inviting or harassing Ganduje in connection with the bribery allegations. The restraining order provides temporary protection for the former governor until further proceedings take place.
