Yerry Mina, a defender from Colombia, has been signed by Fiorentina on a free transfer, the Serie A team announced on Saturday.
After his contract with Premier League team Everton was not renewed, Mina, 28, became a free agent.
However, according to Italian media reports, Mina who has 40 national team appearances under his belt has signed a one-year contract with an option for a second year, provided specific criteria are met. Fiorentina did not provide any other information.
Fiorentina ended eight in Serie A last season and lost in both the Coppa Italia and Europa League finals.
