Former President Obasanjo to Commission Oyo-Iseyin Road

The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has invited former President Olusegun Obasanjo to commission the newly rebuilt Oyo-Iseyin Road. The road, which is 34.85 km long, was reconstructed by the Oyo State Government.

The project, owned by the Federal Government, was awarded to Messrs Kopek Construction Limited in June 2021 after approval was given by the Federal Government. The road connects Oyo and Oke-Ogun Zone and passes through the Fasola Agribusiness Industrial Hub which is being built by the Oyo State Government. The rebuilt road has improved commuting time between Oyo and Oke-Ogun Zones and is expected to boost socio-economic activities in both agrarian zones.

In addition to the road, Obasanjo will also commission the completed Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Iseyin Campus, which houses the College of Agricultural Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources. This marks a significant milestone for the state’s infrastructure development and commitment to improving the lives of its residents.
