Franck Kessie is reportedly linked to joining Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur if Harry Kane could be sold this summer.
Over the past few weeks, Barcelona have sought to improve their dire financial situation by selling a number of first-team players.
Franck Kessie is one of those who has been strongly linked with a departure. The Ivorian only came from AC Milan last summer, but he already appears to be leaving after the LaLiga winners placed him on their transfer list. They have already replaced him with Ilkay Gundogan.
Although Barcelona wants to trade Kessie to the Premier League, but Juventus have been favourites to sign him. According to a source, Tottenham Hotspur is eager to enter the bidding war to acquire his services.
Spurs will only do this, according to the report, if Harry Kane is traded to Bayern Munich this summer. This would enable them to have the money on hand to spend on Kessie, who is probably going to cost about €15 million.
In contrast to Juventus’ suggestion of a loan, Barcelona is eager to sell Kessie permanently. Now, they will undoubtedly be hoping Kane departs the Spurs so they can work out a deal.
