Barcelona have joined in the race for Kylian Mbappe with the star player drawing interest from top clubs in Europe and Saudi’s Al Hilal throwing in a record breaking bid of €300m since PSG announced the selling of the player.
Fabrizio Romano earlier today reported that Al Hilal had made Mbappé a record-breaking bid of €300 million. If Mbappé is willing to accept the deal, PSG will take it because they could lose the France captain for free next summer if they don’t. The former AS Monaco star has often claimed that he wants to stay with Les Parisiens for the upcoming season but is unwilling to trigger the one-year contract extension included in his contract.
Although it is widely believed that Mbappé has a pre-contract deal to join Real Madrid in 2024, PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi has contacted the Frenchman to persuade him to consider offers this summer.
PSG are already getting proposals at their door. Al Hilal’s record-breaking bid is on the table, and in addition, Barcelona seem to be interested in the 24-year-old with an upcoming discussion slated with PSG later today. Due to budgetary limitations, the Catalan club wants to include players in the agreement.
According to L’Équipe, Mbappé has also recently drawn interest from Chelsea, Manchester United, Inter Milan, and Tottenham Hotspur; however, Real Madrid continues to be the front-runner to recruit the Frenchman.
