Alhaji Ibrahim Oyinlade, the Chief Imam of the Uso Community in the Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, who was kidnapped on Saturday near the Owo-Akure Motorway, has reclaimed his freedom.
PUNCH According to Metro, the cleric’s kidnappers freed him on Sunday night.
The cleric was allegedly working on his property when the thugs broke through the door and took him away.
The kidnappers then wanted N10 million in ransom to free the cleric.
Despite the fact that the kidnappers phoned the family on Sunday morning and demanded N10 million, he was released this evening, according to a family source.
He did not specify, though, whether the ransom was paid prior to the cleric’s release.
