Inspector Ogbuji Titu Tochukwu and Assistant Superintendent Apata Oluwaseun Odunayo of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Sokoto zonal command, has been charged with the murder of a fellow officer Inspector Abel Isah Dickson.

The Executive Chairman of the EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, said, “Gentlemen of the press, we have invited you this morning to brief you about an unfortunate incident that occurred at our Sokoto Zonal Command, which is suspected of having led to the death of one of our young officers.”

The incident happened after the three fought over items belonging to a detained suspect.

In an interview with journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, Bawa disclosed that the conflict between the officers escalated into a brawl that led to the murder of Inspector Dickson.

The Commission suspended the two officers with whom he had a brawl and turned them over to the Nigeria Police for further investigation and potential legal action.
