The Kylian Mbappe transfer saga is still ongoing, but the most recent news out of Madrid suggests that it might not be for much longer.
The French attacker is not participating in PSG’s preseason tour because they are trying to force him into a transfer, but it appears that Real Madrid is the only club he would like to sign with. They think he has already signed a deal with Los Blancos after declining an offer to play for Al Hilal.
Ramon Alvarez de Mon, speaking to RadioMarca, asserted that Mbappe is close to becoming a player for Real Madrid, suggesting that the standoff between him and PSG is about to conclude.
Alvarez de Mon went on to claim that even though he will be available for free next summer, the potential fee in play would be a record-breaking €230m. However, it is underlined that Mbappe himself would receive a portion of that sum.
Until the 24-year-old arrives in Santiago Bernabeu home dressing room, it remains uncertain if he has really made up his mind to play for the Spanish giants. The checkered flag had been waved for the Mbappe deal on numerous occasions. However, it is hard to predict whether it will happen this time or not until he gets there.
It does line up with a prior story that Kylian Mbappe may travel to Madrid in a week, but as we’ve seen with him before, unexpectedly severe changes can occur.
