*Legendary Mike Dean Exits English Football After 28 Years.*
The Legendary premier league referee Mike Dean has left his position as a video assistant referee and will no longer be part of Professional English Football next season, ending a run of 28yrs in the football league.
The head of the referees’ organization PGMOL( professional Game Match officials), has found Mike Dean unsuited and not competent enough to be a video assistant referee and has had a mutual agreement with him to step down.
Mike Dean last operated as VAR in a premier league game in February. His distinct skills and mastery did not help out when he left the on Field duty at the end of 2022/22 season. The 55yr old is also known for his unyielding attitude during protests with players. He is known to face players eye-to-eye and refuse to be intimidated by any player whilst his decision still stands.
As a premier league referee, he officiated 560 games issuing 114 red cards, taking back to 2000. The English football world says goodbyes and big hugs to Mike Dean.
