The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has claimed that Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, was a victim of self-inflicted alcoholic poisoning.
Given Wike’s ignoble conduct in the election in Rivers State, Atiku remarked through Phrank Shaibu, his Special Assistant on Public Communication, that Wike should go for confession rather than thanksgiving.
Wike revealed that in December 2018 he believed he had been poisoned when visiting the PDP secretariat.
This information was revealed by the former governor on Sunday during a special Thanksgiving ceremony held in his honour at the St. Peters Deanery in Rumuepirikom, Obio-Akpor.
He said that the poison had destroyed his internal organs, including his liver and kidneys, and that if it hadn’t been for God’s intervention, he would have died.
However, Phrank Shaibu recommended Nyesom Wike cut back on his alcohol usage in a statement on Monday after it was revealed that his liver and kidneys failed due to “poisoning.”
Governor Wike has always been transparent about his passionate and undeniable affection for whisky, he said. He even claimed in March that he saw Atiku and other protesters on TV at 11 a.m. while enjoying a 40-year-old whisky with his friends. Additionally, Governor Wike has been captured on camera dancing and drinking, including a scene with former Governor Rochas Okorocha. If Wike was poisoned and his organs failed, he should be a teetotaller and have cut back on his drinking by this point.
Although I don’t practise medicine, it is widely known that drinking too much alcohol increases the risk of developing high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, liver disease, digestive issues, and cancers of the breast, mouth, throat, oesophagus, voice box, liver, colon, and rectum. A weak immune system, which increases the likelihood of getting sick; learning and memory issues, including dementia; and poor sexual performance are other conditions linked to heavy drinking. Wike needs to look inside. Let’s imagine he consumed poisonous stuff. Was food poisoning also the reason for his raspy, husky voice? Governor Wike needs to be offering thanks, not confessing. God does not hate a broken spirit or a contrite heart, according to Psalm 51:17. Wike has engaged in several election frauds, yet he has not expressed regret for them.
“Under Wike’s leadership, Rivers State—once renowned as the nation’s treasure base—became the Rivers of Blood.” That is Wike’s legacy. Shaibu stated that he must first repent before his thanksgiving will be accepted by God.
Wike’s master, Governor (Seyi) Makinde, was properly described as an exposed wire. Everyone is aware that a naked wire only electrocutes individuals to death. May we never be the victims of such a cranky man. However, Governor Makinde needs to concentrate on giving the citizens of Oyo the benefits of democracy. He is the only member of the G5 who is now in a political position. The other four are unemployed, exhausted forces who are frantically seeking employment with and protection from the EFCC, he claimed.
