A man has been arrested by the police for allegedly killing and eating three children in Gawama, a village in Bauchi State. The suspect, whose name has not been disclosed, was caught in the act of slaughtering a third child when he was apprehended.
According to reports, the suspect had gone to Gawama and requested from the residents that he teach two boys how to work in order to help them become self-reliant in the future. His request was granted by some unsuspecting parents who entrusted their children to him.
However, instead of teaching them any skills, the suspect killed the two boys and ate their meat. He then went back to their parents and lied, saying that they had run away with his money. He demanded that another child be given to him as compensation. The parents obliged and gave him another boy.
The suspect was about to repeat his gruesome act and kill the third boy when he was caught.
The incident has caused outrage and grief among the residents of Gawama who described the suspect as a heartless and wicked man. They also expressed sympathy for the families of the victims, who lost their children in such a horrific manner.
