Manchester City’s Cole Palmer joins Chelsea FC

Chelsea football club have signed Cole Palmer from Manchester City on a permanent transfer worth £45 million.

Cole Palmer is a Manchester City academy graduate who broke into Pep Guardiola’s first team in the 2021/22 season and has since established himself as a good squad player and a reliable substitute. The young attacking lad is seen as the perfect profile Chelsea needs at the moment.

The 21-year-old versatile player, who can fit in well as a right winger and playmaker, fits Pochettino’s preference. Cole Palmer is expected to have his medicals today (Thursday), as he’s set to sign all documents and be announced as a Chelsea player.

Cole Palmer helped Manchester City win the historic triple last season. He also scored an equalizer in the Super Cup final two weeks ago against Sevilla, helping his side proceed to penalties and eventually lift the trophy. His goal against Arsenal in the Community Shield helped his side reach the penalty shootout that led to Arsenal’s triumph.

Cole Palmer has won two Premier League titles, one Super Cup, one English FA Cup, and one UEFA Champions League with Manchester City since he joined the first team in 2021. He will continue his development as a more consistent first-team player for Chelsea Football Club, as he’s expected to sign all documents soon.
