The third kit for Manchester United’s 2023-24 campaign has been unveiled by adidas. It pays homage to the club’s illustrious past and its beloved red devil emblem.
To produce a shirt that captures the essence of illustrious history, the club once again worked with their official kit supplier. The shirt worn during the glorious FA Cup-winning season of 1908-09 served as inspiration for the design team after they dug deeply into the Old Trafford archives.
The end result is eye-catching attire that shines out both on the pitch and in the stands.
A pristine cloud-white base that embraces the design creates the ideal backdrop for the new red devil insignia to take centre stage.
adidas’s recognisable three stripes, which are displayed in white on each sleeve and elegantly connect the past and present, add to the design’s beauty.
A striking red ribbed crew-neck collar tops off the outfit, giving the timelessly elegant look a dash of modernity.
A spokesperson for adidas expressed their enthusiasm for the remarkable creation, stating that, though, with a historical club as the red devil, they had many previous kits of Man U to take inspiration from. But for this season’s third kit, the 1909 jersey was the catalyst for that inspiration.
