Earlier yesterday, A clash between Mc Oluomo and Tajudeen Agbede Factions of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) resulted in a deadly Combat for Power Tussle amid a leadership crisis. An exchange of Gunshots yesterday during the clash also made Garki residents, precisely in Sapele Crescent off Ladoke Akintola Boulevard around the Garki area, Abuja flee for their lives.
The Clash is a rebirth of an ongoing conflict within the NURTW that has raised lots of concern and feelings that urgent intervention from the Federal Government is needed. Accordingly, the Clash was birthed when supporters of the President of NURTW Prof Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa marched to the National Headquarters which is presently occupied by the Lagos Park Management committee led by MC Oluomo’s Faction leader Tajudeen Badru Agbede.
Tajudeen Badru Agbede has now successfully Hijacked the NURTW Secretariat at Abuja. In a video released, Agbede was seen jubilating with his goons. He addressed his goons speaking in Yoruba. Parallel facts translate his speech to English and according to Agbede, “Thank you, Thank You my people. We are members of the NURTW and presently the Head. I want you to enjoy yourself and be free. There’s nothing”.
