Divine Ikubor, better known by his stage name Rema, is a Nigerian singer and rapper who has won numerous awards. He has said that he would like to work with American music stars like Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion.
Rema said this after his smash hit with Selena Gomez, “Calm Down,” became a big hit.
The 23-year-old singer from Benin told the Hollywood Reporter in a short chat on Tuesday at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards in New Jersey, United States, that he wanted to hang out with more female celebrities.
Rema said, “I’d like to work with Meg (Thee Stallion) and Nicki Minaj, so I’m hoping to meet them.” Who is left? Yes, I want to hook up with those girls.”
Rema beat out Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and other artists to win the first-ever “Best Afrobeats Song” award at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, which were held on Tuesday at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, USA.
In Rema’s’second line in the ‘Calm Down’ song, Selena Gomez quickly sent her love to Nigeria. At the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), Rema was named the winner of the Best Afrobeats award.
Rema made history when he beat the people who were also nominated.
