The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, has alleged that President Bola Tinubu’s government did not save the sum of N1 trillion since the fuel subsidy was removed.
Ajaero told journalists at the ongoing protest in Abuja on Wednesday that the government’s announcement was false.
This comes after Tinubu stated that Nigeria has saved over 1 trillion naira ($1.32 billion) in just over two months after it scrapped a popular but costly subsidy on petrol and moved to unify its multiple exchange rates.
