The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced a substantial adjustment in response to the spate of gunman attacks in the Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State that unfortunately resulted in the deaths of numerous people.
In order to inform the public, especially potential corps members, of the new site, the NYSC made a statement on Monday through its Director of Press and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa.
As stated in the announcement, the prospective corps members’ orientation course would no longer be held at the Mangu permanent orientation camp for the time being.
On the other hand, the Waye Foundation will temporarily host the camping exercise.

This location, in the Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, is close to Buken Academy Doi-Du and has been selected as the temporary NYSC orientation camp.
According to this information, all prospective corps members are required to report to the new orientation camp (Waye Foundation by Buken Academy) on the dates listed in their call-up letters, as Eddy Megwa highlighted.
“The decision to relocate the orientation camp shows how seriously the authorities take the security and welfare of the corps members.
“By moving to a safer location, the NYSC hopes to reduce dangers and create a favorable environment for the corps members to complete their orientation training.
“The NYSC is still steadfast in its commitment to the security and welfare of corps members.”
