The Nigerian Football Federation has been urged to pay outstanding allowances to Super Falcons players by a number of national football stakeholders.
In response to FIFpro’s Tuesday solidarity statement urging the NFF to resolve the backlog, these stakeholders, including current and former Super Eagles, joined in the request.
Asisat Oshoala, a forward for the Super Falcons, posted the FIFpro statement on Instagram.
Victor Osimhen, a forward for Napoli, responded with “Pay them NFF” in response to the post.
Victor Anichebe, a former Everton striker, wrote: “NFF compensate them! They made all of us proud! as well as if they didn’t. Please pay them what they are due.
Odion Ighalo, a former Super Eagles frontman, remarked, “NFF never stops these things.”
The football establishment and Randy Waldrum and his ladies have been at odds over unpaid salaries and bonuses, almost leading to the team’s boycott of the current Women’s World Cup.
