Al-Nassr defeated a shaky Al-Shabab team 4-0 with Cristiano Ronaldo hitting the back of the net twice from the penalty spot.
The 36-year-old forward helped the Faris Najd win their third game overall and their second straight league game in front of a full Al-Awwal Park.
In the opening minutes of the game, the hosts established their dominance and had a chance to score first from the penalty spot.
Otavio won a penalty, and his countryman Ronaldo stepped up to shoulder the responsibility of taking it. He made no mistakes in beating Seung-Gyu Kim to register the first goal.
In the 20th minute, the captain of the Portuguese national team scored again, but VAR disallowed the score.
But he would not be stopped, scoring another penalty again in the 38th minute.
Following a Ronaldo assist, Sadio Mane made it three in the 40th minute, giving Luis Castro’s team a sizable lead going into the half.
In the 63rd minute, the hosts were given another penalty, and instead of converting it himself for a hat-trick, Ronaldo threw the ball to Abdulrahman Ghareeb of Saudi Arabia. However, the winger’s attempt was unsuccessful.
In the 80th minute, Ronaldo nearly scored his third goal, but his header hit the crossbar. Sultan Al-Ghannam, however, shot on the rebound. Al-Nassr won the game 4-0, giving them nine goals in their last two league contests.
