A Catholic priest named Father Fidelis Moscinski has been sentenced to six months in prison for his actions at a Planned Parenthood abortion facility. He was found guilty of violating the federal FACE Act for an incident that took place on July 7, 2022, in Hempstead, NY.
According to court testimony, Father Fidelis engaged in a solitary rescue attempt by placing multiple locks on the gate leading to the facility’s entrance. When the local fire department removed the locks, he physically obstructed cars by lying in the driveway until local police took him into custody.
During the court proceedings, an interview that Father Fidelis had recorded for EWTN’s show Pro-Life Weekly was presented as evidence of his intention to block access. However, the defense argued that the interview demonstrated his intent to assist parents considering abortion rather than disrupt the facility’s staff or services.
