Road collision claims 2 lives in Osun

According to the Osun Command of the Federal Route Safety Corps (FRSC), at least two people lost their lives in an accident that took place on the Ife-Ondo route and was caused by excessive speeding and faulty brakes.

In a statement that was distributed on Sunday in Osogbo by the command’s spokeswoman, Mrs. Agnes Ogungbemi, the Sector Commander, Mr. Henry Benamesia, provided confirmation of this information.

According to Benamesia, the collision took place in the Ifetedo neighborhood of Osun when a car with the license plate number BWR 909 SD suddenly lost control owing to traveling at an excessive speed.

According to him, the accident resulted in the deaths of two people, and the families of those people who were present at the scene of the accident removed their bodies and took them with them.

“The crash vehicle that went into the river was recovered by the rescue operations and turned over to the Ifetedo Police Station.”

“Other sister security agencies were also present during the operations in order to offer assistance in order to maintain law and order,” Benamesia said.

According to him, drivers should immediately put an end to excessive speeding, as this behavior can result in the loss of both lives and property.

“I want to make an appeal to everyone who uses roads to always keep safety in the forefront of their minds and to drive defensively in order to save lives.” (NAN)
