Romeo Lavia to Join Caicedo at Stamford Bridge

  • Liverpool remain woeful in the hunt for midfielders as they lock horns with Chelsea. Jurgen Klopp’s team will miss out on both of their desired midfielders with Romeo Lavia set to join Moses Caicedo at Stamford Bridge.

Before completing his £115m British record transfer to Chelsea, Moises Caicedo is scheduled to get a medical in London today.

Liverpool was interested in the 21-year-old midfielder, but Chelsea turned them off by promising to pay Brighton £100m upfront plus £15m in prospective add-ons.

The Ecuadorian international might make his debut on the road against West Ham on Sunday after agreeing to an eight-year contract with the possibility of an additional season.

Chelsea is also in advanced negotiations to acquire Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia for £55m

Liverpool is upset with their acquisition of Caicedo because his entourage encouraged the Merseyside club to compete with Chelsea for his signature.
