The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has expressed his worry over the presence of many strangers in the National Assembly complex. He said that legislators feel unsafe because of these people.
He added that as the National Assembly resumes its work, “people who have no reason to be here” wander around the Senate and Reps wings, “harassing and posing a security risk” to lawmakers and staff of the National Assembly.
The SP raised the alarm while hosting members of the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC), who paid a courtesy visit on Friday. He called for urgent measures to be taken to address the situation.
