Ange Postecoglou has won the EPL manager of the month of August for the first time in his career, and he is the only manager to do so since David Wagner of Huddersfield Town in their debut month in the Premier League.
Ange was hired as Spurs’ head coach back in July, and since then, his club has had a nearly flawless start to life in the Premier League, placing them second in the standings as of the September international break.
The 58-year-old Australian brought his front-footed, high-pressing, offensive style to north London after joining from Celtic, where he had guided the Glasgow team to five of six possible domestic honours in his two seasons in command. It has undoubtedly had an impact thus far.
The manager has guided Spurs to three straight victories in the Premier League, beginning with a 2-2 draw away at Brentford on the opening weekend. Since then, Spurs have defeated Manchester United, Bournemouth, and most recently, Burnley, 5-2.
It was a double honour for Spurs, as midfielder James Maddison also won the EPL Player of the Month for August.
