In a significant breakthrough, the Joint Security Task Force in Bauchi State has successfully rescued 33 individuals who were kidnapped in the Alkaleri Local Government Area.
The victims were abducted a few days ago by armed gunmen who took them into the forest, demanding ransom from their families. The swift action of the Joint Security Task Force followed a directive from Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed.
The task force engaged the bandits and secured the release of all 33 kidnapped victims. The Caretaker Chairman of Alkaleri LGA, Bala Mahmoud, received the victims from the security operatives in Yalwan Duguri on Friday night.
The victims are set to undergo medical check-ups to ensure their health before any further actions are taken. This successful operation marks a significant victory in the ongoing fight against kidnapping and banditry in the region.
