The Super Falcons of Nigeria have gained qualification into the next round of the ongoing Women’s World Cup.
After drawing their first game with Canada and putting out a wonderful performance in their second game against co-host Australia, winning by three goals to two, the Super Falcons have sealed their place in the next round of the competition with just five points in the group.
Having earned five points in group B to emerge second, the Super Falcons will be facing the Three Lions of England in the knockout stage.
The Super Falcons who have not gone past the quarter-final in the Fifa Women’s World Cup, will be aiming to surpass that feat. If they could defeat England in the next stage, it will be an improvement of their last world cup outing in 2019 where they were knocked out 3-0 by Germany in the same round of the competition.
