Three Real Madrid players will miss this weekend’s La Liga opener against Athletic Club due to injuries.
This Saturday, Los Blancos will head to Bilbao, where they will take on Athletic Club in the season’s marquee match at the Nuevo San Mames.
Jude Bellingham and Fran Garcia, among others, may make their club debuts, and Joselu Mato and Brahim Diaz may make their first appearances since coming back.
Arda Guler won’t be making his debut, though. The meniscus issue that was expected to keep the Turkish starlet out of action for the whole of August is still bothering him. Ferland Mendy and Dani Ceballos, who also have muscle issues, have comparable outlooks. They were the only three players who skipped training on Monday, according to Marca, as they got ready to travel to the Basque country.
Inigo Ruiz de Galarreta might also make his debut on Saturday, when Ernesto Valverde hopes to have a completely fit squad on hand. Yeray Alvarez, Dani Garcia, and Yuri Berchiche are just a few of the squad’s important players that are under question. All three missed the weekend’s friendly match (1-1) with Manchester United due to minor ailments.
It will undoubtedly be a fascinating event with an exciting atmosphere; that much is certain. Barcelona started their La Liga season in a thundering San Mames stadium two seasons ago, with Memphis Depay tying an Inigo Martinez goal. #Real Madrid
