Mr Bola Tinubu has warned the presidential election tribunal that removing him from office over his failure to score 25% of votes cast in Nigeria’s capital Abuja may trigger anarchy in the country.
In a tweet by Peoples Gazette, Tinubu admitted his failure to score 25% of votes cast in Abuja but said it was insufficient to overturn his victory as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The statement comes as the tribunal is set to rule on a petition challenging his victory in the presidential election. The petitioners argue that He failed to meet the constitutional requirement of scoring at least 25% of votes cast in two-thirds of Nigeria’s states and the Federal Capital Territory.
