Anambra State, Nigeria – A horrifying incident has shocked the community of Nnobi in Idemmili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, as Miss Chinyere Awuda, a young lady, was discovered dead and abandoned in the swimming pool of Cosmila Hotel in Awka.
According to sources, the tragic event unfolded at Club Mila, a nightclub reportedly owned by Cosmila Hotels, where Miss Chinyere was present. Witnesses claim that a group of individuals, including Mr. Gabriel Chinemere and his friends, allegedly assaulted the young lady after accusing her of picking up money that was thrown at clubbers. Despite pleas for help from other patrons, the group continued to beat and molest Miss Chinyere Awuda, while the club manager, Steven Junior, allegedly instructed security guards and bouncers to stand down and even turned off the lights during the violent incident.
Eventually, the attackers dragged the defenseless young lady outside the club and dumped her lifeless body into the abandoned swimming pool on the hotel premises. When Miss Chinyere’s family received the distressing news, they rushed to the Cosmila Hotel and discovered her lifeless body floating in the pool.
The grieving family promptly reported the incident to the Anambra State Police, leading to the arrest of Mr. Gabriel Chinemere and his alleged accomplices. The Anambra State Police Spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed that the suspect is in custody, and a thorough investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding Miss Chinyere Awuda’s tragic death.
The heart-wrenching incident has left the community in shock, and residents are calling for a swift and fair resolution to ensure that justice is served for Miss Chinyere Awuda and her bereaved family.
