A 200-level Electrical Engineering student of the Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger State, was crushed to death by a hit-and-run truck driver.
The deceased, identified as Abdul Azeez, was reportedly struck by the truck in front of the main gate of the university. Another student, who has yet to be identified, was seriously injured in the incident.
The remains of Abdul Azeez have been deposited in the general hospital mortuary, while the injured student is currently receiving treatment at the University Clinic.
The incident has sparked outrage among the student community. In response to the tragedy, students staged a protest, blocking the Minna-Bida Road at Gidan Kwanu.
