Transfer Window Deadline Recap

The Transfer Market for summer 2023/24 opened on Wednesday, June 14, and has finally come to an end at 11 p.m. on Friday 1st of September. It’s been an interesting transfer saga which ended with shocking transfer deadline signings and disappointments. Parallel Facts takes a look at every Top deal completed on the Deadline Day.

EPL and many top European leagues continue on their spending spree as Paris Saint-German, Tottenham, Barcelona, Nottingham Forest, Manchester United, and many others completed over 20 transfer deals on the Deadline day. We take a look at the Players bought and their worth across the top European Leagues.

Manchester United after many months completed the signing of Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina on a long-term loan with an Option to buy worth €25m. The permanent signing of Goalkeeper Altay Bayindir and a season loan deal for defender Sergio Reguilon are two other signings the Red Devils completed before the deadline. Nottingham Forest completed seven signings on the deadline. Andrew Omobamidele from Norwich £20m, Divock Origi on a loan from Ac Milan with an option to buy, Ibrahim Sangare from PSV for £35m, Gk Odisseas Vlachodimos from Benfica on a permanent deal, Callum Hudson Odoi from Chelsea in a deal worth £5m, Nico Dominguez from Bologna for €10m, Nuno Tavares from Arsenal on loan with a buy option.

Nottingham Forest also let go some of their players with the likes of Brennan Johnson to Tottenham for £45m and Remo Freuler to Bologna. Tottenham signed Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest on a permanent deal worth £45m. A bid to lure Chelsea duo Conor Gallagher and Trevor Chalobah to White Hart Lane failed as an agreement was never reached between the Clubs and the Players. Amongst other Top signings in the Premier League are Alex Iwobi from Everton to Fulham worth £22m, Neal Maupay returned to his old Club Brentford on a loan deal from Everton, Luis Sinisterra on a season-long loan from Leeds, Fode Ballo Toure to Fulham from Ac Milan on a long term loan with no buy option, Gent attacker Mike Tresor to Burnley on a permanent deal worth €18m. Liverpool completed Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern on a permanent deal worth €45m.

The summer Spending spree continues for PSG on the Deadline day as they complete the signing of their Top Target Randel Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt on a permanent deal worth €75m plus €15m add-ons. Barcelona completed two signings on the deadline that wowed the football World. Joao Felix joined from rival Atletico Madrid on a straight loan while Joao Cancelo also joined on loan from Manchester City. Brighton and Hove Albion completed a season loan deal for Ansu Fati from Barcelona. Brighton are expected to pay 80% of the wages for the player. Folarin Balogun made a permanent move to AS Monaco from Arsenal in a deal over €40m with a 20% sell-on clause included. Mason Greenwood got a season-long loan deal to Gatefe from Manchester United as he hopes to revive his career.

While some Clubs got their deals done before the deadline, One Top Club that failed to meet up was Bayern Munich as they were left disappointed after failing to complete the signing of Palhinha from Fulham on time before the Germany transfer deadline set at 5 pm. The player completed all medical tests and media duties but all documents were not signed hence the collapse of the deal. Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz completed his move to Sevilla as a free agent. Patson Daka’s potential deal to Bournemouth from Leicester City also crumbled, the player would remain at Leicester City for the continuation of their Championship Campaign.

Top European football continues for the 2023/24 season already and all eyes are on who would come out triumphant after the period of re-enforcing came to an end. Premier League remains the biggest spender in the Transfer Market across the top European leagues. The transfer Window will be reopened on January 1st, 2024 for European Clubs to hold any transfer market deals.
