Nigerian striker Victor Boniface, who plays for Bayer Leverkusen, has made history by winning the Bundesliga Player of the Month and Rookie of the Month awards for August.
Boniface scored four goals in August, outperforming other nominees such as Harry Kane of Bayern Munich and Kevin Behrens of Union Berlin to clinch the coveted Player of the Month award. His exceptional performance on the field has not only won him accolades but also the hearts of football fans around the world.
In addition to this prestigious recognition, Boniface also bagged the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award. This makes him only the second player in Bundesliga history to win both awards in the same month. The first player to achieve this feat was Erling Haaland in January 2020.
