Former Super Eagles shotstopper Vincent Enyeama has turned 41 today.
The goalkeeper, whom many Nigerians regard as one of the best to ever mount the goal for the nation, took to his Instagram page to express his gratitude to God.
In the Instagram video, the 41-year-old was seen having breakfast.
Enyeama was part of the team that won the AFCON 2013, and he also won the CAF Champions League with Eyimba two times in a row (2003 and 2004).
At the time, the goalkeeper appreciated by Lionel Messi with his jersey was one of the very few to have exchanged jerseys with the Argentine. This happened in the match between Nigeria and Argentina in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, where the goalkeeper put up a brilliant performance against the Albicelestes but was denied a clean sheet by Gabriel Heinze’s header.
Enyeama retired with the best record of a goalkeeper in Africa, with 101 caps, 77 goals conceded, and 50 clean sheets.
Many Super Eagles players have gone on to wish him a happy birthday.
