One begins to ask why it took Tinubu two months to set up a ministerial cabinet that is filled with the likes of Yari, El Rufai, Wike, Lalong, and a host of political nitwits. Where are the TECHNOCRATS?
Tinubu has submitted the full list of his ministerial cabinet to the Senate for confirmation, and reactions have been trailing the names that made up the list. In the 47-name list, four immediate past Governors made it.
While during the campaign, loyalists and supporters of Tinubu argued that he was renowned for selecting and working with technocrats, they said he is known for working with the best and that he will pick the very best of Nigerians to make up his cabinet.

To the dismay of his ardent supporters, the list is filled with unqualified political jobbers and party loyalists. A peep into the names on that list looks like a gathering of party men and women going into an election season.

It is only unfair to the likes of Festus Keyamo and Femi Fani Kayode that they did not make such a list after all the battles they fought for the man that was indicted for money laundering and narcotic dealings in the United States of America.
The Ministerial list is filled with people who have no basic understanding of a working system but who have played politics and were involved in controversially bringing him to power and it is a shame FFK and Keyamo did not make the cut.
Netizens reactions have trailed the list and some are captured here

Where are the so-called technocrats? Are those ex-governors the best BAT can offer?
I hope you’re thoroughly entertained?
For a man who dodged all the debates during elections and failed to hold any live interviews with the media all through his campaign, many expected little from him, but the greatest disappointment stems from the argument that was created by his team during the campaign that he knows how to assemble technocrats.

Tinubu isn't looking for competence; he’s just rewarding those he perceives as helping him win. With all the technocrats in Kano, he decides to choose Maryam Shetty. What are her experiences in public service, for God's sake?
